"A handwritten note is like dining by candlelight instead of flicking on the lights, like making a gift instead of ordering a product, like taking a walk instead of driving. Handwritten notes will add a lot to your life. You can still use the telephone or the web for the daily chores of staying in touch, but for the words that matter, it's courteous, classy, caring, and civilized to pick up a pen."

A Dream Come True?

So many of my friends and relatives have talked about how wonderful it is to go on a cruise. I've been kind of "eh" about it...all but one type of cruise....well....I have ALWAYS as long as I can remember wanted to go on.

Alaska

Yes, I have always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise. How nice of Stampin' Up! to think of me. Well, sort of. You see- I need to EARN this cruise. I can do it. I know I can do it. I know I am going to need some help - I can NOT do it alone. How can you help? Well....look for a series of posts coming soon focusing on ways you can help me acheive a dream.

Whether you just love to stamp, or you want to grow a successful, thriving business, the Stampin' Up! opportunity is the right fit for you. Stampin' Up! demonstrators enjoy many benefits, with just a few listed below:

  • Product discount. Demonstrators get a 20 percent discount on all Stampin' Up! products, including stamp sets, paper, and accessories. It's a great way to support your love of stamping and paper crafting.

Happy New Idea Book and Catalog Day!

Today is one of my favorite Holidays of the entire year. What? It's not really a holiday? It feels like it to me. I love the day that I can present a brand new Idea Book to my stamping friends. I love to see them ooh and ahh over new stamp sets, accessories and samples. It's so much fun for me. If you haven't seen it, you can check it out on my left hand side-bar. I've also added some new projects and our Definitely Decorative Catalog as well.

I am celebrating by having a little get together tomorrow night with my guests receiving their new catalog, an In Color Sampler and a fun, free make and take card! I'm serving (along with a few other things) "Razzleberry" Tea and (water)Melon Mambo!!!! Too fun! I love these new colors as I can have a lot of fun with them.

I still have a few spots left in this month's MISS Swap and would love for you to join us. Sign ups will end on the 5th - so hurry. If you know of another talented swapper, invite her (or him) to join.

I will post photos of this last month's swaps as soon as I can find my camera!!!

MISS July Swaps NOW CLOSED!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - do not use OLD in colors or any items that are retired

I WILL NOT BE OFFERING A MISS AUGUST DUE TO THE STAMPIN' UP! CONVENTION

I know that a lot of Demonstrators love having samples from every stamp set we have, and I know that stamping "customers" (I don't like that word...as you are so much more) like that too. HOWEVER, I am one that would prefer to have more samples from the stamp sets that I own and demonstrate, to truly show the versatility and really launch my creative process.

This is our fourth month, and let me tell you - the first three months provided some AMAZING swaps! This swap will be open to everyone, not just Demonstrators, I only ask that ALL supplies are current Stampin' Up! (with the exception of things like staples, paper clips, etc...). This will be a "best quality" , so you'll want to do your best work...Fancy isn't required, but neat is!

This stamp set needs to be the "main" image on the card, you can still use backgrounds and sentiments.

Sign ups will end on the 5th, and all cards MUST be mailed to me by the 15th.

I will then mail you your cards by the 25th.

This will be a +1, full card swap, so for each swap you will make 6 (or 8) FULL cards (not fronts) - keep one for yourself then you will get 4 (or 6)more back, giving you a total of 5 samples. One stays with me for organizing. Sound fun?

Full instructions will be mailed to all participants on or before the 10th.

Sign up for what you would like in the comments section. You may sign up for more than one set if you'd like.

Small Hiccup!

Small hiccup in the plans..last night my three year old split his chin open. He's doing ok, however I have had to extend a lot of attention on him of course, both making sure he's ok, and that he doesn't re-open it.(he's kind of crazy a little like that)

So...I will try to post the sign-ups for the MISS Swaps later today, and the June swaps will be in the mail tomorrow! Thanks in advance for understanding.

So Much To Catch Up On

Let me guess......Y'all missed me SOOOO much this week!

Where was I?

Well, I had a very special visit from a great friend and two of her daughters. Barbara Jean Smith of "Pink Pajamas"  was here with her daughter Carissa and Meghan (last month's MISS swapper of the month). We had a wonderful week full of stamping, swimming, eating, painting toenails, PLAYING (Miss Meghan and her mom both have a prankster streak in them) and just having a ball!

I have been busy working on a scrapbook I was hired to complete, organizing this month's swaps, holding a club night, helping a new team member with her first stampin' party, baking banana bread for all the Dads in my life, prepping an ONLINE ORDERING SPECIAL (look for it in the next few days), and planning for a Card Buffet this upcoming Saturday.....

Thanks for sticking around. I still need to pick a winner from my "What Would You Choose" post! Stay Tuned!

What would you choose?

Ok, so one of my favorite things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is earning FREE Stamp Sets. Back during Sale A Brate I earned two stamp sets worth ANY value!! Well, I need to pick them out and order them this weekend - and I don't know what to choose! Can you help me? Here are the ones I am looking at

Proud Stampin' Mama

A while back I got a phone call from a girl named Lindi. She found me on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Locator. She wanted to sign up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. She comes over and she is absolutely adorable, and she walks in with her equally adorable husband. She asks a few questions, has her paper work we totally hit it off - and goes home. A few days later I am blessed to have her on my Stamp Time Somewhere Team, she is such a sweetheart and I'm happy to have her as a new friend. She told me she loves to scrapbook, hasn't really stamped much, she already blogs...Cool! So she has started her Stampin' Up! themed blog and it is SOOOOOO Cute! I would love it if you take a moment to go and visit her....
