"A handwritten note is like dining by candlelight instead of flicking on the lights, like making a gift instead of ordering a product, like taking a walk instead of driving. Handwritten notes will add a lot to your life. You can still use the telephone or the web for the daily chores of staying in touch, but for the words that matter, it's courteous, classy, caring, and civilized to pick up a pen."

Seriously....

Only NONE of my readers are attending convention? WOW! Ok, guess y'al will be easy to impress while I'm there and posting photos and stuff!

I will post photos of my swaps, but probably early next week.....

What a cute invite!

Ok, so this was posted on the Stampin'Up! demo website and I think it is just adorable!

Sorry I haven't been blogging much. Boys in swim lessons, me trying to get ready for convention, DH still doing stuff for his work promotion, me trying to implement some homeschool preschool in our home, me doing my regular classes and events....whew! I've barely had time to sit and my swollen little feet can prove it! Anyhow, enough whinning I guess, here's the card and all the info.

Do you like it?

I changed my theme and I Totally LOVE this one! I think I might keep it forever.....(or until a holiday hee heee)

Where my girls at?

Ok, now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head - great!

Anyhow, just wondering how many of my blog readers are attending the Stampin'Up! convention in SLC in just over 2 weeks!! (WooHoo!) Also, I am in Track 10...anybody else in track 10?

I signed up for a *few* swaps on Splitcoast..namely:

Track 10 bookmark swap

6x6 scrapbook page swap - Kid theme - I'm doing boys

$20 class swap

"Dream" swap

Mini album swap

3x3 love notes swap (3 groups)

Decor Elements photo swap

SCS dinner swap

I think that's it. Believe it or not - I'm pretty much done! Need to order envelopes to go in my $20 class project, go get some Tempting Turquoise M&Ms for my Dream Swap project, take some photos and write up some instructions, process the photos of my Decor Elements and that's it. Really, I'm doing pretty good I think. Now I'm turning my attention to my "general swap" cards.....

Hope to see you there!

Just bragging

No stamping here, just wanting to show off some family photos from the 4th!

Started the morning at our church with a pancake breakfast and kids parade, and ended at the 8th annual Bohanon 4th of July Bash!

Aren't they cute?

Tagged

It's been a while since I've been tagged, so it was pretty cool to see this one come from my new bloggin' bud Jaime at cre8tiv or crazy

7 random and wierd facts.....

1. I am addicted to couponing. I have shopped faithfully with coupons since January 2004. My average weekly savings is 51% and my best trip was 93% savings. I did a happy dance in the parking lot...could have cared less who saw me.

2.  I am fairly comfortable speaking in front of people, however this in no way is announcing that I want to do so anytime soon......

3. I am not a big fan of escalators, because I am afraid I might fall, however I really refuse to touch the icky moving handrail. It's the like the one public thing that freaks me out.

4. Everytime I see a concert I am a little envious of the person performing and wonder what it must feel like.

5. I am now also addicted to Discovery Chanel's new network Planet Green. There are some really cool shows on there and I have been working on "going green" probably a little over a year now.

6. If I can organize something by color I probably will (paper, clothes, books......you name it)

7. My friend Christi and I have been friends over 20 years now (she hates when I say that number). She is the only non - obligated (family) person I've known that long. She is also my one best friend that is not family. The people I consider to be my closest friends are her, my Mom, my Grandma, my Aunt and SIL.

Now to tag 7 other peoples...this is going to be hard, because I think I am one of the last to get tagged with this....

1.Alesha at A little Scrapbook Therapy

2. Robin at About A Girl  (although she has a new baby...so I don't know if she'll want to play)

3. Britiney Jean

4. Charlene - A Stamp A Day

5. Super Talented JIll at Jill's Card Creations

6. Miss Barbara Jean at My Pink Pajamas

7. Melissa - Mommy's Stampin' Creations

Ok, I know that took a while for me to get done, but I hope you enjoy these blogs!

Down for a few.....

ok, so the doc cut some stuff out of my throat today. Wasn't expecting it and I'm a little sore. A shot of numbing stuff in the back of the throat and a few snips.....anyhow, not really feeling myself.

I did however find some card sketches on the SU demo site last night as I was waiting to place my order (I can't believe I forgot to expedite the shipping! dang it...) and I figured I'd post it on here as a little sketch challenge. Maybe I'll even be good enough to post it as a weekly challenge. Let's think positively. Let's call this one StampTimeSketch1. Leave a comment if you participate linking back to your card!

New stuff!

So us SU demos had the chance to preview a select few offerings of some of the stuff soming out in the new Idea Book. I am not posting any spoilers, however I do really like two of the new level two hostess sets and two of the new level threes! Now I just have to decide which to order....

I also like some of the new regular products.....the In Colors are going to be great, I am for sure ordering at least one of the stamp sets and the new scallop edge punch and the Bella Rose DSP! Having issues with ordering, so I will try again in the morning...I'm tired, it's been an emotional day!

Updates.....

Ok, phew! Hubby took his test for work today and scored an 89!!! I am so stinking proud of him! This could put him even in the top 10 maybe. Out of 400 or so that took the test. I am proud that I survived all that extra time he spent studying. I figure he owes me about 100-120 hours of stamping time now...hee hee hee... anyhow, he still has a few more "tests" before he can get promoted, but if all goes well, he could be promoted by the end of the year. This is so cool. The 25% pay raise would be nice too......

I have been doing some stamping, but it has been for a lot of swaps and convention stuffs and classes. I will get photos soon because I KNOW y'all miss me and all my talent sooooo much (totally dripping with sarcasm)

Have to go back to the throat doc tomorrow for a possible complication, not sure but he wants to see me anyhow so.....wish me luck. Other than that, my family should go back to normal and hopefully so will my poor neglected blog.

BIG HUGS AND KISSES to all those who stood by me and offered all their support! Love you guys!

Last but not least....

Here is my last project using the Carousel Notes. It's just like the one yesterday, just using the Wild Wasbi note and the paper is from the hostess pack. Too cute with that little flower from the Pretties kit, huh?

More Carousel Fun

I know that I found the directions for the little tote on Cambria's blog, but I can not remember where I found the idea for the little "bowl"...I know it was on someone's blog. I should get better about things like this. If it's your project, please let me know....

Anyhow, these are with the Groovy Guava and Ginger Blossoms papers. THe flower accent on the bowl is made using layers of the Scallop circle punch from SU
