Woo Hoo! It's a brand new kinda Friday 'round here! It's a FANCY one!!! So, remember that awesome team I got to design with all of last year? Well, we just couldn't bear to not keep designing with each other. So, what else to do but keep HOPPIN'!!!! Being as that the word "fancy" is kind of a theme word for us - fancy projects, fancy clothes, fancy friends - well - Fancy Friday seemed logical! So each month we will have a theme, it could be a color challenge like this month's, or maybe a sketch, who knows, but you will always want to check it out and play along.
This month we are totally playing with one of the best products that Stampin' Up! carries - our Designer Series Papers!!! We have sooo many fun designs (Check them out HERE)
Now, I did something I NEVER EVER do, but you'll totally understand why in a moment. I used RETIRED Designer Series Paper. Now, the reason I never show items that are no longer available is that I am afraid that someone will love it, and I can't get it for them anymore, HOWEVER, with this idea, you can do it with ANY paper, and these are going to be ripped open by kids in a matter of moments, sooooo......
Want to see how to make them? They are SUPER DUPER easy!
Cut your Designer Series Paper to 4"x6" (You can get 6 to a 12"x12" sheet)
Roll it into a tube, and apply adhesive (I use Tombow Multi) on one of the 4" sides to make it into a 4" long tube.
Pinch one side closed. I usually do this just to the side of the glued crease. Apply adhesive to the inside and pinch it closed again, gluing the one end shut.
Fill it with what ever you want... like lots of candy
Now pinch the other end closed in the opposite direction of the first end. Glue it shut.
If you are making a ton, binder clips really come in handy.
If you aren't giving it to a kid who will rip it open in 0.0407 seconds, you can add a sweet little tag....
These are a PERFECT LAST MINUTE treat option for parties and other holidays too!
You'll want to make sure to leave a comment, because I am going to be sending one lucky reader some fun BLOG CANDY. I am giving away one sheet each of 12 double-sided designs of the the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack. Just leave a comment below before midnight (CST) on November 6, 2015 for a chance to win. I will notify the winner by email. (Here's the fine print: you can only enter one time and you must have a shipping address in the U.S.)
