I had to laugh when I saw this week's challenge. We have had such a beautiful and warm winter here, so our "Winter" photos might look a little different than others!

Almost all of the elements used are from the "It's All Me" kit! It's a must have if you have boys/men in your life - LOL! I LOVE how this turned out. It was a fun layout to work with. I found the sketch somewhere online...sorry, forgot where.

A non Blog-Hop Post? WOW!

 I know I haven't been the best about posting mid week lately, but things are starting to look up! I started seeing a new doctor this week, and he feels that we can actually FIX whatever then heck is wrong with me (vs just prescribing meds that will help me deal with it). I am cautiously optimistic! Anyhow...I thought I would share a few thigs I have created lately on MDS.

 "Printables" seem to be everywhere these days. I LOVE them and decided to create a few for myself! Here are two - I would love to know what you think.

 This first one is actually my New Years Resolution. I think I am still sticking to it.

 

The other one is one that I created for Valentine's Day, although I think it would be great in a bedroom year round!

A Whole New Challenge... MDS Style

 I was so excited when Mandy told us we would be doing a SKETCH for this week's challenge. I LOVE using eketches, even though I don't do them nearly often enough! She picked a fun one too! I can not wait to see what the others come up with!

All of the Designer Papers are from the Delight in the Day kit. I love the colors and graphic nature of this kit. The colors kind of reminded me of a beautiful sunny day, so I went looking for some beach photos from last summer. This was a fun sketch for me, and definitely not something I would come up with on my own, so I am grateful for the challenge.

Fun NEW MDS options - MDS Blog Hop

Happy Friday!!!!

 Well, here is another Friday, and with it another fun Blog Hop! Where did this week go? Mine flew! It's been a good week. Some personal things in my life are improving, I finished my last appointment for my physical therapy on my knee - although I will miss the wonderful people at my therapy office. I had a great therapist and became friends with the two wonderful ladies at the front. One even came and stamped with me this week! I was also featured in Stampin' Success (a monthly magazine for Stampin' Up! demonstrators) and so were Heather and Erica!!!

 Enough blah-blah I guess. This was another week for us to focus on " NEW" There were only four new downloads this week, and all of them pretty feminine, so I was a little worried at first. I snapped this picture of my "baby" holding my BFF's baby at stamp night on Monday, and really wanted to do something special with it. I decided to use some of the elements of the Twitterpated kit, even though my first thought when I saw this in the new Occassions catalog was that it was pretty girly. It's actually a really good set of Designer Series Papers, a lot of the designs are pretty neutral. Did I pull it off? What do you think?

So the Baja Breeze and Gray papers are in the Twitterpated kit, along with the Pleated Ribbon and cute buttons - WITH STITCHING!!!! The little Gray labels are from the Delight in the Day embellishments - I added some Vintage Overlays in the background for some character!

Happy New Year MDS Blog Hop Style

Happy New Year. I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays, we had a wonderful Christmas. I love seeing the faces on my boys Christmas morning when they come down the stairs. We spent some wonderful family time together.

Now that the New Year is here, our blog hop is back in action with a wonderful renewal of ideas and inspiration. I chose the theme for this week and to go along with the calendar, I chose "NEW" and I challenged the designers to use something NEW.

The page I created is a first of firsts! My first time using this great new paper from the "Number One" kit. I LOVE the great masculine colors and embellishments! BUT, more exciting for me is what I got to scrapbook. Wednesday my oldest son lost his first tooth. It's been rather wiggly for a while now, and when he came home from school we were hanging out outside and I asked to feel it. I knew it was ready to come out. I called his Daddy over to "check it", wrapped my arms around him from the back (tenderly, not like keeping him from escaping - LOL) and with one quick tug, my husband was holding that sweet little tooth in between his fingers. I brought him inside and made him an ice water to swish with and then of course, out came the camera. I also set to work making him a cute little container for the Tooth Fairy to hold his tooth. We made a big deal at bedtime, it was so much fun!

A few of my quick and simple Christmas MDS ideas

 I know I haven't been posting to my blog very much the last few weeks other than on MDS Blog Hop Fridays. Hopefully I will get better soon. I have been doing a lot of re-focusing and trying to re-organize a lot of aspects of my life. Hopefully this will allow me to run my Stampin' Up! business a little more efficiently.

 I thought I would share with you two of the many projects I have completed the last few weeks. The first is the gift tags that I created that have gone on EVERYTHING this year. I LOVE gingerbread men, so it was a natural choice for me.

 The second was a quick little tag that I made for my son's Kindergarten class. We made little bags of oatmeal and glitter for "Reindeer Food" - thought it was a cute little idea :)

Ho! Ho! Ho! Stampin' Up! style

I just want to thank each and everyone one of you who are visiting my blog today, especially the ones that visit week in and week out. I know that the last few weeks have been a little difficult following us around, it just seems like a lot of us have been dealing with many struggles

Today I wanted to share with you the page that finalized my "Grandparent" Calendar last year. This year, the grandparents will be receiving their 3rd wall calendar featuring my boys. When I look back at these calendars I can't help but reflect on growth, both of my boys and of my growth as a digital "artist" . I would love to show you this year's, but the grandparents haven't seen it yet, and i know that at least my wonderful Mom checks in on this blog :)

It's Pouring... and my MDS Blog Hop Entry - Finally

 So when it rains is pours is a saying that is definitely holding true right now for us. I won't go into to much detail, but after we got home from our trip, we all got a nasty stomach bug to just top everything off. There are also a few personal issues that we are dealing with. So....my "tomorrow" (meaning Saturday) is now obviously Monday.... I really appreciate the patience and understanding.

So the theme was Monochromatic, as I mentioned in the last post. WOW! I loved the entries from everyone! Some gorgeous pages and projects!!! Here is what I came up with. I LOVE it. It's pretty great if I do say so myself, even if it is pretty simple! Haha!

Boy did I BLOW IT!!!

So, not only was I supposed to have a blog post up this morning - I CHOSE THE THEME!!!

We went out of town for a few days for a vacation, (I'm still out of town - using my Mom's computer) during the 3 days, I had a baby who decided it was a great time for HORENDOUS melt downs, a 5 year old with LOTS of tummy issues (I'll spare you details) and my 7 year old split the top of his head open and needed 15 staples and 4 stitches. I will share more details in a later post....

I am so sorry. It has been a very rough couple of months, if you are one who believes in prayer like I do - our family could REALLY use it about now.

MDS Blog Hop - Home

 So this week at our home has been anything but typical. It's been a lot of sick, a lot of crazy, a lot of prayers. I am so thankful for my Mom, for being here to try and help me get better. Little did we know it would be a different scenario dealing with a sick grumpy baby. It has been pretty crazy. I somehow managed to squeeze in a few precious quick minutes yesterday to get this done. That's why it's a pretty simple page. I LOVE the new " Day in the Life" Ensemble. Great supplies to work with!

 

I am happy with the way this turned out, as it was pretty much what I had envisioned in my head! I love it when that happens. Can you believe that I JUST treated myself to the Smitten Alphabet download? I do not know why I waited so long!! I've used it on 3 layouts in 2 days!

I am trying to complete the annual Christmas gift for the Grandparents - their 12x12 Calendars that I create in MDS. Stampin' Up! Just let us know that we should order them by DECEMBER 7th, so if you are wanting to make any MDS gifts, you'll want to keep that date in mind!
