Oh Baby! MDS Blog Hop

Oh Baby! I LOVE babies - I especially love MY babies....all three, baby boys. No little pink frills or flowers or butterflies here. Every once in a while I wish I could play with pink, but most of the time I am just fine creating for my boys. I think that this is one of my favorite pages. I love "white" pages and I also love the soft monochromatic feel of this page.

I put the border on the page here so that you could see the layout a little better. I started with the Whisper White background and added a square punch filled with Bashful Blue. I wanted it super soft so I adjusted the opacity to 20%.  I used a little trick on the stitching so that I could have them a soft gray. I copied the stitching into my stamps folder so that I could change the color as I want. The cute little animals are from the Oh Baby ensemble. It came together really quickly, but I LOVE it. Especially since this sweet little baby is going to be 2 next week.

Twist on a Template - MDS Blog Hop

 Hi there! Happy Friday! I LOVE Fridays, I love seeing what my friends vreate for our Blog Hops. This week we were challenged by Amber to create a project using one of the Designer Templates. I don't use them as often as I should - they are fantastic starting points.

Here is the one I chose to start off with. I went to one of my great stand-bys - Downtown Grunge. So here is how it started out.

Last week I was lucky enough to see Donny and Marie at the Las Vegas Flamingo thanks to my friend Julie. My poor hubby had to put up with me screaming at Donny half the night, but Marie sang this beautiful song and it really stuck with me. So I decided to do something I rarely do and put myself in the focus and highlight some of her beautiful lyrics.

A whole lotta love

Happy friday y'all! I am feeling in the lovey-dovey spirit. Valentine's is one one my fave "holidays" for two reasons. One is that I am still head over heels in love with my super-duper hubby, and second, I have a Valentine baby!!! Anyhow, I saw a similar idea to this online and couldn't wait to put my MDS spin on it!

 I designed it as a 5x7 card, but I think it would be cute framed as well.

Mid-week Musings

Well, I am in Mom withdrawal...I was lucky enough to have my Mom here for a few days, but she went home this morning. I am so glad I will get another "fix" in just a few weeks. It's wonderful because my kids AND my hubby love my Mom. He hubby is just the best and we all love him too :)

Well, I made this "Printable" last week when I was making the others, and I LOVE it. I so want to print it out and frame it for the family!!!
