Happy Friday Y'all!!!! I've had a great week and hope you are too. As I am getting readjusted to kids back to school schedules and a retired hubby, it's been challenging to get in my stamp room to create - but I have things to do!!!! Like making this birthday card for my sweet niece who is turning 16 this weekend!
SO the theme this month for Fancy Friday is to show some of our "Large Font" stamps some love, and for TGIF it was to watercolor our main image. Combined and DONE and I LOVE it!!!
This could be one of my favorite cards EVER!!! I really started out struggling with it too.
I embossed the "Happy" outline from Happy Celebrations in White Embossing Powder on to Shimmery White cardstock. Then I used an AquaPainter and the ink from my lids to watercolor inside the image, concentrating more color at the bottom to give it a subtle ombre' look. Do you love the little scalloped black edge? Guess what!!! It's the "bottom" of the Decorative Ribbon Punch!
For the background, I ran another piece of the Shimmer White through the Big Shot with the Adorable Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder, I quickly colored in the raised dots with the same colors from the main image. I will admit, adding the sequins took a few minutes, but I think it is SO worth it!!! I didn't use the exact colors for some of the colors to "match", but it still looks SO FREAKING COOL!
Here is the list of supplies that I used. By clicking on the images below, you can the items directly to your cart so that you can create this card, and MANY other projects too!!! Please enter V3UJWUSC as your hostess code, and I will send you a special thank you gift with any purchase of $35 or more! (U.S. only)
