OSAT Blog Hop Find A Sketch - Stampin' Up! Cutest Cows!

Oh boy, it has been a while!

If you are new here - WELCOME, and if you are shocked to finally see me creating and blogging again - WELCOME BACK!!! I was so excited to see the wonderful OSAT Team was going to kick off this blog hop again after a bit of a hiatus. I needed the kick in the pants to put other things aside and take some time to CREATE!

This month's theme was to use the sketches shown on page 22 of the current Stampin' Up! catalog and create from one of those! I actually think I tend to shy away from circles in my designs, so what did I do this time? Use one. Go figure!

I am still acquiring from this latest catalog, but one set I do have is Cutest Cows - and oh, aren't they??? I decided to make a birthday card and little box to hold a few cookies in. I think when I deliver it, I will add a little bottle of milk. Won't that be cute?

(I don't have a pattern for the box, I pretty much just drafted it to fit the cookies)

 

For these projects I used - The Cutest Cows Stamp Set, The Country Woods Designer Series Paper, Pecan Pie Cardstock, 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim, Stylish Shapes Dies, and of course my favorite Stampin' Blends Markers.

Creation Station - Heat Embossing - Stampin' Up! Circle Sayings

Hi there! Long time no see. I've been stamping, just not posting a lot lately, but I am hoping that will change soon. I loved this month's Creation Station theme, so I really wanted to jump in! 

 

 It's been a while since I've done heat emboss resist, but the Rays of Light Background stamp was absolutely perfect for this technique!

 In order to get this look, I stamped the image in Versamark Ink on Watercolor Paper and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder (you can use Clear too). After that was done, I used the Water Painters and re-inkers right on top of the image, then wiped off any residual water, leaving the stamped and embossed area white, and the color only in the background. I also used heat embossed the sentiment.

 I am so happy to have been able to join in this month. Make sure that you check out the rest of the Hop - it NEVER disappoints!

Creation Station - MonoChromatic - Stampin' Up! - Bird's Eye View

 Hello! I am happy to be back with another card for this month's Creation Station Blog Hop! I have been stamping a little more lately, now just to get back into actually blogging and posting on social media a little more! LOL. Baby steps. Let's start here!

 This month's theme is Monochromatic Cards. I decided to focus on a couple of the new colors that I hadn't really used much yet - Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve, so essentially PINK. Made me think of that scene in Steel Magnolias.

 I am still working with Bird's Eye View. I have a pretty limited selection still, and this set is just awesomely versatile! I have been loving using it, probably because I really love coloring, and it's a perfect set for that.

Creation Station - Ombre Blending - Stampin' Up! Alphabet A La Mode

 Yes... you're seeing things right. If you've been a follower of mine for any length of time (maybe the last 15 years or so...) you might have noticed I took a rather LONG hiatus from stamping and blogging. Life happened; I needed a break. Our family is fine. It's actually really good. I just needed to walk away for a while. I recently had some time to myself again, and thought I would give it another shot. I had tried over the last few months, but it just didn't feel right. This time. It felt right. I didn't stamp a TON, but I did get 4 or 5 cards made, and I am hoping that it was the kick start I needed.

 I decided to start where I have always advised others to start when looking for inspiration. CHALLENGES! This month's Creation Station Challenge was a GREAT fit for me!

 For this card, I used the wonderfully versatile Alphabet A La Mode Dies. I kind of veered off a little bit. I meant to keep it to all blues and greens for my Ombre Effect, but I kind of went more with a spectrum blend. But hey, you can still see the different Ombres...wait... yeah... I meant to do that, let's go with that! LOL

 I LOVE how they POP on that Basic Black background, don't you? I think it turned out to be a very simple design, with very striking results!

 I am glad I didn't walk away completely. I am still (technically) a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, and I will ALWAYS be a creative. Someday I won't be my only customer, someday I would love to build my business back to sharing what I love - both again online and in person. I'm allowing myself grace to get there at my pace. Most of the things I will be creating might focus on the same handful of products, as I don't have a lot right now, but that's OKAY... that's the fun part of creativity - working with what ya got!

#tgifc394 Sketch Challenge - Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Garden

 Hello, happy Friday! 

    I've got a great TGIF Sketch for you today! I thought about grabbing a set for fall, or even Christmas, but I decided to grab an old favorite, Dragonfly Garden! I think it ended up working great for the sketch.

 We are going to call my card this week a loose interpretation. It absolutely was inspired by the sketch. 

 Sometime last year I think, I created another card where I stamped the wildflower image over a plaid pattern, so I thought I would revisit the idea, and I still love how it turned out. One of the things that I love about this card is that it's not a hard card to make or recreate! There's not a lot of supplies, and it's still pretty!

OSAT Blog Hop Festive Season - Jingle Jingle Jingle style

Hello! Welcome back my friend. It's time for me to jump in on this month's One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop. Our theme for this go around is "Festive Season" It left a lot open to our own interpretation, but I chose to work on a cute little Christmas ensemble with one of my favorite sets from the Stampin' Up! July-December catalog - Jingle, Jingle, Jingle.... I immediately fell in love with it. I have NO IDEA why I hadn't used it yet.

I figured that a card and a little gift would be a great idea for this theme. I combined the adorable Jingle, Jingle, Jingle with the stamps from this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit, and well - I am over the moon with how they turned out.

I started with the card. I knew I wanted to use that sweet little Santa, and it just kind of took off from there, and I love how it turned out.

I loved adding all the fun little touches on this! The embossing, the shimmery, iridescent snowflake, the Iridescent Rhinestones, the sparkly ribbons and his beard, mustache, and hat trim are covered in Wink of Stella for some serious sparkle!

 The cocoa holder is really easy. It's just a regular card, with the top half of the front cut off! Add coordinating elements and you are good to go!

Creation Station - Fancy Folds - Kindest Gnomes

Hello!!! I am so happy to be hopping with the Creation Station today. Seems like it's been awhile. Life can get in the way sometimes, but it's always nice to be able to come back to something that you love. For me, it's stamping!

This month's theme is using Fancy Folds. The one I did isn't SUPER fancy, but it's a great one for using up and showing off all the wonderful double sided Designer Series Papers in your stash!

 It starts with a piece of Designer Series Paper cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score and fold at 4 1/4" like a standard card, then fold the front of the card back at 1". By doing this with our fabulous Designer Series Papers, you get the best of both sides! I do suggest backing it on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of coordinating cardstock to give it more stability. Look how cute you can dress the inside too.

 You can even use the extra Designer Series Paper to dress up your envelope!

(OMG I can not get enough of these adorable gnomes!!! They are just about perfect!!!)

#tgifc393 Color Challenge, With My Favorite Gnomies

 Hello, happy Friday! So happy to be back here posting with the TGIF Challenges Team this week. We always kick off our month with a color challenge, and I admit, at first I was NOT fond of this one. NOW I want to color everything with these colors!!!!

 Being as I didn't know what I wanted to do, I figured I would just start coloring and see where it lead - and ! could not be much happier with the results. I started coloring, then got everything cut out. I kept trying to arrange them on a card, and just couldn't do it. I couldn't risk these sweet little labors of love being tossed in the trash...

 So I created this!!! I figured I could hang it up and love it, and not worry about it getting tossed aside! Now it gets daily smiles!

 I colored the Gnomes with my go-to Stampin' Blends, then created the saying using the "Sweet" from Sweetest Cherries and Alphabest stamp sets.

#tgifc391 Inspiration Challenge - Stampin' Up! Penguin Place

 Hello there! Happy Friday y'all!!! I sure that you are having a great day!!! I am so happy to be able to bring you my take on this week's #TGIFChallenge. It's an inspiration challenge and I PROMISE I used the inspiration graphic when I designed my card.

 Hopefully it isn't too hard to see how I was inspired...

You can see it, right? Well, when I first started, I imagined it as the backs of the penguins, like little silhouettes, but I wasn't sure it would be super obvious that they were the penguins, so I figured I would make them facing. I am so glad I did, because they are just the cutest little things. 

 I LOVE this little sentiment. I stamped the companion stamp to it inside...

 I just thought it would be a cute card. I love how the little girl penguin turned out. Instead of stamping their eyes, I used the Matte Dots, and I LOVE how it looks. Of course I had to add little lashes to the little girl penguin. 

 Ok, I might not get a good grade on following directions this week, but I still love the card! LOL

#tgifc390 Sketch Challenge - featuring Stampin' Up! Paradise Palms

 Hello friends - Happy Fridayish. I'm a little late getting this posted, but I still wanted to make sure that I got this info up. I've been soooo crazy lately and have let so many things slip, but it's been time well spent with family. The good news was that this sketch ended up being the perfect starting point for an anniversary card for my hubby - we just celebrated 19 years!!!

 I had recently invested in the Paradise Palms stamp set and dies, mostly because I felt that it was a good, gender neutral, versatile set to have on hand. I knew it would make my hubby happy too, so I finally inked it up...

 I know sometimes I go rogue, but this time I pretty much stuck to the sketch, only changing up the shape of the circle for a fussy cut sentiment. It's a little hard to see, but I did sponge some Pool Party ink lightly on the Basic White piece. I think I am really going to like having this set. I even managed to pay a small homage to one of my favorite places on the card. Can you guess what it is? I guess it might be one of those IYKYK things. (If you know, you know)

OSAT Blog Hop - Pumpkin Spice - Sunflowers and Gnomes

 Hello! Welcome back. I know it's been awhile since I posted - seriously sorry. It always amazes me how long I have been going between posts - life with teenagers is busy. I've been creating, just not posting....ooops

 ANYHOW - Today I am joining the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team for a fun, fall themed hop!

 I will admit, I had been feeling pretty creatively stuck for quite a while. I decided to do something about it recently and spent a weekend away. Most of the time I just hung out by myself and worked on a TON of stamping projects I had been putting off, but I also went to 2 stamping events and spent time with friends who love and support me and share the same passion for stamping - I did not realize how much I needed that! Well, I totally think it worked. I've actually been stamping again, and LIKING what I am making...but this - this project set I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!

 I MEAN - can you even handle the CUTENESS?!?! This might very well be one of my all time favorite cards (and bag) I have EVER MADE - like in the last 17 years, it is probably in my top 50. I know that doesn't sound that impressive, but y'all I have made a LOT of things!

  It all started with this little gnome. I kind of imagined his pants as little overalls, and wanted him to be a cute little country gnome, so sunflowers were a natural match. I LOVE these colors together and kind of want to make myself some kind of framed piece for my home using this as inspiration.

 Of course the super cute card needed a super cute gift bag!!! I basically recreated the card, just making adjustments so that it would fit the little gift bag, then added the sweet bow. I think I might have to keep both the Gnomes and the Sunflowers once they retire - I can't imagine not having them in my life!!!

OSAT Blog Hop - Garden Party with Stampin' Up! Cottage Wreaths

  Hello! So good to see you today! Honestly, any day right now that I can post is a good day. I have definitely been in a different stage of life these days. I'm definitely good with it. I'm spending more time with my boys, and that time is going by so very quickly!!! Every so often though, I take some time for myself and get back to my stamping table and just create! This month's OSAT theme was just so fun, I had to play along!

 

 SO I was a little stuck though on which set to use. I finally decided that because the wreath is made up of leaves it totally counted for a Garden Party!!! I kept it pretty easy with just a card and little gift bag.

 I started out creating the wreath. I inked the wreath with Crushed Curry ink, then highlighted a few of the leaves using the brush tip of the Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot Stampin' Write Markers.I used a Stampin' Spritzer to add a little water so that the colors blended together a bit on the stamp before stamping the image on Watercolor Paper.

 I basically created the bag in the same way. I love creating little gift bags. This is such an easy pattern too. It's one sheet of 11" x 6", scored at 5" and 6", then at 1" in on both long sides. Easy peasy!!!

#tgifc381 Sketch Challenge with Stampin' Up! Sweet Songbirds!

Hello and Happy Friday. I am kind of impressed with myself. It's been a while since I have had posts two days in a row! I am so happy I had a chance to play along with my #TGIFChallenges team this week for this great sketch.

 Because I had so much going on the last few days, I knew that to maximize my time, I wanted to keep creating with Sweet Songbirds (see yesterday's post)

 I used one of the extra birds I created for a sweet little focal point in the sketch's circle. This card came together SO quickly, "thanks" to the Amazing Thanks Dies, and the fun little bird punch.

OSAT Blog Hop - BFFs with Stampin' Up! Sweet Songbirds

Hello! Holy smokes it's been a while!!!  Regardless, I am so happy you are here, joining us on this month's One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! This month we are all about the besties, so it should be a really fun hop.

 The Sweet Songbirds is seriously one of my favorite bundles! I love the cute little birds and you can do so much with them!!! I kept it pretty simple with a sweet card and a box of chocolates this time.

 I wanted a bright, fun card that would cheer up a bestie! I really love how it turned out! I always imagine the little bird singing, so I love pairing it with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder!

I am a firm believer in that something doesn't always need to be fancy or complicated to be special. I think that just adding these simple little birds and a little Pale Papaya Ribbon to this Kraft Gift Box.
