Hi there!!! Welcome back! Well, you may have just joined in our monthly bog hop, or you may have just landed here from Jane Lee's awesome blog, either way - I am glad you are here. In case you aren't aware every month on the Stampin' Up! Facebook page, Stampin' Up! debuts a special Showcase of projects designed by the Artisan Team.
For the month of October we received a wonderful box full of fun fall inspiration. Regals cardstock, the Wonderfall Stamp Set and coordinating Autumn Accents die, The Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Champagne Glimmer Paper and glitter, The Friendship Preserves Bundle and MORE. It was wonderful! Being as I don't live where I get to enjoy a real Fall season, I knew I wanted to create something with the LEAVES!!!! I wanted that touch of fall in my home - I am so happy with the results!
I made this DARLING leaf garland. Well, if I do say so myself :) I LOVE IT!!!!
Here are a few close ups so you can see some detail. I used a full pack of Regals Assorted Card Stock (minus the Night of Navy and Not Quite Navy) I folded them in half at 5.5" and ran them through the Big Shot with the Autumn Accents Die, fitting as many leaves as possible. Then I randomly either stamoed them with the Wonderfall stamp set in the same ink, crumpled them or embossed them with a variety of embossing folders. I also cut as many leaves as I could with one sheet of Champagne Glimmer Paper. After I had them all stamped or textured I punched a hole in various places on the leaves to string them through some twine (not Stampin' Up!). To make it longer and to be able to see the textures and colors better, I randomply added wood beads (that I found in the craft section of a local discount/big box store) or tied a simple knot with the Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain.
