Happy Wednesday!!!! Don't hate me - but we are having GORGEOUS weather here in Las Vegas this week! I ALMOST wish it were a little cooler - we get enough HOT around here.
This week I am actually sharing TWO cards with you! Both cards were actually inspired by and made from SCRAPS! I KNOW!!!
I think that this Hip Notes is a great clean and simple card, and sometimes we all need that. There is NOTHING wrong with relying on great design and a striking color combo rather than an intricate layout or lots of embellishments. I had this little left over piece of Burlap Ribbon on my desk, along with this cute little punched heart and VOILA - inspiration struck!
TIP: I actually just used my hot glue gun to attach the Burlap Ribbon and punched heart
For my Valentine class last weekend, I used the Mailbox Love Notes MDS download along with my e-cutter to cut out the word LOVE from some Strawberry Slush cardstock. After I removed the letters, I couldn't bear to part with the negative space and I am so GRATEFUL I didn't!!! I threw a few scraps of Coastal Cabana and Whisper White behind some of the words and mounted it to a Basic Black card - added the Chevron ribbon, the little punched heart again - this time from Silver Glimmer paper and the I was the one in LOVE!
TIP: Even if you don't have an e-cutter, look at the scraps of cardstock that you have left from die cutting or punching - maybe you will find a great inpiration piece too!
****If you LOVE this card - make sure that you come back tomorrow and see where else this inspiration took me!!!
Hope you enjoy all of the AMAZING projects that the rest of the team has for you today. These are some special projects, so please let the team know what you think! Now go head on over to see the FABULOUS Jennifer Timko - she is seriously SO SUPER awesome! Love her
