Artisan Wednesday Wow - Quite the Pair and some Geometrical

 

 HI!!!!!

  How are you doing? Are you missing me yet? I am sooooo sorry, but my blogging this week might be a little sporadic - I have a BIRTHDAY PARTY to get ready for on Saturday! I am TRYING to stay caught up but - well.....

  ANYHOW - I have TWO projects for you this week! YUPPERS - TWO.... the first one is the Valentine card I made for my hubbers and the second one well - was just FUN! Want to check them out?

For the Valentine I just used some Brushed Gold Cardstock and embossed the little pear from Quite the Pair in Gold Embossing Powder. I chose to cut the pear apart from the words to accomplish this. I did not use a Stamp-a-ma-jig, I kind of just eyeballed it. It is rather stunning in person and looks a lot like a card you would find in a fancy boutique somewhere.

Now for the "fun" extra

 

I found these cute little pillow boxes in a dollar section at a store and loved the silver polka dots, so I grabbed them - knowing I would do SOMETHING with them. (you NEVER do that, do ya? LOL). I made a simple little belly band and tag for it using the Geometrical stamp set and Kaeidescope Designer Series Paper and I think they would be a FUN way to give a little treat or for a favor at a party.... What do you think?

 

TIPS: I am still loving the GOLD trend and Gold on Gold is even BETTER. Try embossing on gold cardstock with gold embossing powder yourself - it makes a stunning impact

* I added an extra layer of Brushed Gold cardstock and a Very Vanilla layer to the inside of the card to really make it have that super special touch

*The new tag punches are a great way to create fun and quick tags. Take a look around for your scraps and you have an instant recipe for success.
