Hi - Welcome back!
Hey Hey Hey! It's MDS Blog Hop Time! I truly love doing this hop, because although I love creating in so many different mediums, I think I have to say that My Digital Studio is my FAVE!!! I guess that might be why I am so excited that so many of you join us for these hops!
I am so lucky to be following my fabulous friend - with the most amazing smile - the talented, Holly Van Dyne. If you haven't seen her project yet, go check it out or make sure you hop all the way around.
Remember a while back I shared with you the invite I created for my little dudes birthday party? Well, I figured I would share with you some of the other projects that went into this party! To create the "POW" shape - I edited a star punch in MDS. By filling it with bright, bold colors and adding a thick contrasting mat it really added to the comic book feel of the party. I used the Pennant die to create a banner of comic book pages layered on our awesome Stampin' Up! cardstock.
To create the custom paper for the cupcake holders, I had saved all of the original 12x12s as jpeg images, then brought them back in as 1" photos, after a lot of copy and paste, I had this AMAZING paper. I used a cupcake skirt from the Sunshine and Sprinkles download and my e-cutter and WHAM-O, they were done!
I also created the pics by adding the jpegs into 1" circle photo boxes.
These super hero suckers were also created with some custom punches. The cape started as a square and you can see the "Superman" diamond was created with an altered triangle. We had Batman and Superman suckers.
Here are a few other images from our fun day
I love being able to use MDS the create memorable parties for my family. I know it's a lot of work, but I think it's worth every minute!
Well, as if I wasn't lucky enough to follow one great friend, I get to go before one of the best-bestest-bestiest BFFs EVER - my outrageously talented and sweet friend Julie Davidse!!! Go check her out and tell her I said "Hi!" :)
Hope you have a great day!!!
this is adorable! I'm going to have to copy you - Simon is obsessed with superheroes. :)
