Welcome to our first MDS Blog Hop for April! I am always so excited to share with you the team's projects that we create in MDS! I have said it probably a GAJILLION times, and I will probably say it a GAJILLION timew more - I LOVE creating with My Digital Studio. To me it removes any and all limits in papercrafting and I can do ANYTHING!
This week we are all sharing Spring and Easter projects and I will admit - I LOVE mine! I was going to show y'all the Carrot Banner today, but I got antsy and posted it earlier this week so I had to come up with something else! I'm kind of glad I did - want to see what I made? (Of course you do, right? I mean that is why you are here!)
EEEEK! Right??? Want some close ups?
So this little guy is actually 3 times, all of the images have a combo of dimensionals and glue to give them LOTS of dimension. I colored the pearls with a mixture of 1 drop of Crystal Effects with 1 drop of re-inker. Oh - and they are all free-hand cut, no e-cutter on this one. All of the images are from Everyday Easter.
I love this little guy! Four layers to make him come to life. It really looks like he is going to hop out of that egg at any moment. His scarf is even blowing in the breeze in anticipation!
I put 3 layers into that teeny tiny basket. I almost cut out the letters.... almost! (I used Lauren's Letters and the Smitten Alphabet Punch downloads for the letters)
To give this balloon some extra realistic dimension, I only placed Stampin' Dimensionals at the top of the balloon, and glued it near the bottom. All said and done, four layers to bring this one to life. I once again dyed some pearls to add even more dimension. I love the special touch they add.
Last but not least is this sweet little girl with her pearl necklace and pearl trimmed petticoat. Even her shoes were layered to give her that special touch.
I've been told that some people think that MDS limits them, that digital looks "flat", and that it even takes the creativity out of papercrafting. I beg to differ and I think this proves it!
I would love to know what you think. Also, I know that this team never dissapoints, so head on over to my talented friend Julie Davidse - she always wows me!
Hope you have a great day!!!
