Welcome back to our monthly Fancy Friday Blog Hop! I love hopping with these talented ladies - so many of them are like sisters! This month's challenge is a 2-for-1! We have a sketch challenge and a "Step Up" challenge. A Step Up challenge is where we create one project at two skill levels, it's a lot of fun. (I do another one of these on the 1st of every month!) I just realized that I used the SAME set last month - but they look TOTALLY different!
I love how with just a few supplies you can create a simple card, like the one on the left, or with just a few more supplies, you can really create something fancy!!!
For the simple one, I just stamped the bee detail and sentiment in Basic Balck Archival Ink, then the solid image in Delightful Dijon (stamped off once) over that to give it color. QUICK - cute.
Now I really did quite a bit to Step this one up, but nothing was super hard. I added an embossed layer, heat embossed the sentiment, and played with our Watercolor Pencils...They blend so beautifully. On our Whisper White cardstock, I prefer to lay down a fair amount of color, then blend with the Blender Pens to avoid pilling.
Often it really does't take that much to step up a card. I hope that by going through this hop, you'll get some great ideas to add a little oomph to your cards when you need it. Next up is Erica Cerwin and I am sure that her ideas will inspire you!
Thank you so much for choosing me as your Stampin'Up! Demonstrator.
