Hi!!! Welcome back. Today is our monthly One Stamp At A Time blog hop, and I am so happy that you are joining us! Our theme this months is Very Vintage, and although I love a vintage decorating style, it can often be a challenge for me to create in a vintage style. I knew if I was going to pull it off, I was going to need a new standby - Country Livin', and my trusty Wood Textures Designer Series Paper!
I always try to coordinate my projects, like a gift and card to go to the same person, but this time one of the projects is for ME!!! LOL
My new office/guest room is still pretty bare when it comes to decor. I have an idea for a beautiful gallery wall with quotes, pictures, and such. I want it to have a lot of personal meaning, so I thought it might be a nice idea if I created a few things for the wall myself. This is just a little 4" canvas. I LOVE them, I use them a lot. I actually stamped on to a piece of Watercolor and glued it to the block, then added some Wood Textures paper to the edges. It really does look like a wood block now!
I LOVE how it turned out!!! I am going to be so happy when I can complete my wall!
I did a card as well of course, but I won't be sending it to myself with the block :)LOL!!! I do love the card though. I think I even know who I would like to send it to.
I added the sentiment from Sheltering Tree to the boots, as well as to the Pool Party background. Really, this card could be sent to almost anyone, for almost any reason. That's probably why it's one of my favorite sentiments.
I received the sweetest comment, wanting to know a little bit more about how I watercolor, so here is a little more info if you want to know too! I swear by my Aqua Painter from SU. I used quite a few colors on this one! For the ground and grass - Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Always Artichoke. For the sky, Soft Sky and Smoky Slate. For the truck, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso, and Cajun Craze. For the boots, I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso. I also just use ink that I have smooshed into the lid of my ink pad.
I am really excited to see what the rest of the team has created this month! Make sure you hop all the way around! Next up is Justin Kreiger!

This is just beyond awesome! I love seeing your fabulous creations as they inspire me to create! Can you tell me if you used any other colors in your watercoloring? And what tool do you prefer to watercolor with?
